The Candela GentleMax Pro laser is designed to treat superficial brown spots, freckles, melasma, and solar lentigines and is also effective in removing other brown marks like nevus and flat pigmented moles. Sunspots most commonly appear in areas that are exposed to the sun, such as the face, the top of the hands, and the feet. All these disorders—brown spots, melasma, and freckles—are successfully treated with the help of state-of-the-art Candela laser. This advanced laser system can be used on both women and men looking for better-looking skin.

Laser pigmentation reduction works by using an intense burst of light to target the pigmented lesions causing the selective healing of the upper dermis. The pigment can be precisely targeted without causing any damage to surrounding tissue or overlying dermis. After each laser treatment, a gentle wound healing response leads to new collagen formation and a clinical improvement to the treated area over time. The pigmentation/sun spot will gradually lighten and fade, slowly disappearing. Initially the treated area may seem darker and flaking is common.

Patients often need to undergo between 1 and 3 treatment sessions and can expect a 60-90% reduction in the pigmentation. The size, depth, and darkness of pigmentation lesions affect how many treatments may be required. The deeper the lesion, the more sessions that are needed and the greater the chances of it not completely disappearing, although its color and appearance can be greatly reduced. The number of laser treatments varies from one case to another. Most lesions disappear or become barely noticeable, but treatment doesn’t prevent new ones from forming. We always recommend wearing sunscreen on a daily basis to avoid further tanning which can cause new freckles and sun spots.

Candela Vbeam Pulse Dye Laser treats Rosacea and other vascular conditions.

Rosy cheeks are often regarded as youthful; however, rosacea sufferers may not view them so fondly. If you struggle with persistent facial redness or telangiectasias (those tiny dilated blood vessels), a pulsed-dye laser (PDL) treatment may provide you long-term improvement.

In most cases, rosacea patients need at least 3 treatments for the best results. The procedure takes 30-60 minutes with minimal discomfort (like a rubber band snap). After, you can expect slightly increased redness, mild swelling, and sensitivity (like a sunburn) for 1-2 days, and you’ll need to avoid sun exposure. You will see results within 2-4 weeks!
